Motivation & Goals
The energy transition is driving a profound transformation across industry. Laser technologies are playing a key role in this shift due to their versatile applications. The goal of the LaTE network (Laser Technologies for the Energy Transition) is to develop cutting-edge, laser-based solutions that support the industrial shift toward greater sustainability and digitalization. These innovations aim to boost production efficiency while promoting circular economy principles—making a meaningful contribution to the success of the energy transition. LaTE focuses on manufacturing and recycling applications, with the goal of improving process scalability and circularity. In doing so, the network seeks to pave the way for economically and ecologically sustainable production in Germany and across Europe.
